SGM 2005 TRAILER.

This year we are introducing a new style of trailer to our range, which will have many advantages over our standard trailers.  The new design is made from pressed galvanised steel sections to protect it from corrosion.  It can be built with the wheels underneath or outside the chassis to cater for different usages.

The sides can be fitted and removed very quickly without the need for any tools and if necessary each corner post can be removed by means of just three bolts.  This would then give a completely flat bed without any external lip as the floor sheet is recessed in the side and end rails.  The rails are pre-punched both for ease of assembly and to provide holes for tie downs and for the fitting of a van trailer body.

It can be adapted to carry many and varied items such as machinery, motorcycles, (by simply fitting a removable runner on the deck) and even a small car.  A 2.5m x 1.5m trailer will carry a Smart Car. A 3metre will carry many small four door cars i.e. smart four-four.

It is possible to fit an extended draw bar to carry longer loads; front and/or rear ladder racks or a frame for a tonneu cover.  Extra panels can be added to give deeper sides for bulkier carrying loads.  At present the following sizes are available but other variations are in development.

Most sizes are available in single or double axle versions and gross weights ranging from 500kg to 3500kg.
